Our mission is to work with poor and marginalised people to eradicate poverty by overcoming the injustice and inequity that cause it. Membership Statement

The ActionAid Alliance is a group of independent development organisations a with common international identity, working for the eradication of injustice and poverty in the world. There are members of the ActionAid Alliance in France, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Spain and the UK. As a group, we are open to new members whose objectives and values share the same philosophy and operational standards.

Current Projects

ActionAid Alliance members work in over 40 countries around the world with over nine million people from poor communities so that they can live a life of dignity. We have over 600,000 individual supporters across Europe, as well as support from public and private organisations. ActionAid Alliance funds the majority of its programmes through child sponsorship. Sponsorship provides regular funds that enable the long term planning of activities necessary to provide lasting change in developing countries. At the same time it gives our supporters a direct and more thorough knowledge and understanding of the situation and realities of life in a developing country.
